Find target audience, identify user pain point in current market, and establish iteration and sprints based on release schedule

Collaborate with branding team, development team, and business stakeholders to collect basic components and module such as theme color, typography family, past and potential UI component

Sketch whole user flow, and group different flows and functionality, including but not limited to MVP release, V1 work in progress (WIP), and consideration for future releases

Align with development team to estimate budget and time frame within the release schedule

Partner with development team to figure out potential technical challenges such as API and algorithm

Start documenting UI elements and components including but not limited to color, border, shadow, typography, CTAs, etc

Work with UI development team to figure out which complex components worth documenting and which are better with project developing

Mock up low fidelity wireframes and discuss with stakeholders to ensure all the requirements are met, and challenges are figured out

Perform A/B testing, unmoderated and moderated user research, use AI tools to clean and organize numerical data and watch all recording with teammates to figure out qualitative research results such as participant’s emotion and behavior

Make interaction decision based on 70-30 rule and ensure the final outcome meets WCAG standard, whether it’s AA or AAA

Complete and finalize all view ports, all brands with complete UI setup to the finest details

Comply with WCAG standard from visual design perspective

Write dev spec, and if time is limited, focus on functionality features. Dev spec also includes but not limited to: layout update, new UI pattern or component update, dynamic content, edge cases, special usage of certain functionality

Hold dev handoff meeting and stake holder review meeting to ensure smooth delivery

Support UAT and execution, until release date
